I posted last winter about my heater suddenly not working. Everything else on the climate control works as normal, just no heat, even with it set to 80 degrees. The only real solution mentioned in my other post was that the heater door rod (or whatever) being broken and what a nightmare to repair it was. Well spring and summer temporarily solved the problem. Fall is here now and I have to get this fixed. Is there anything other than the door thingy that could be causing this? I sure don't want to tear into the dash removal job only to find it is not the problem. If this is a common problem surely someone has dealt with it. Any comments or ideas are welcome.

Thanks in advance,Jman

Yeah, I have the manual. I looked at this last winter, but couldn't really make much sense from it. I also thought that the diagnotics may "think" the door is opening, but since the rod is broken, the door is remaining shut. This of course is sheer speculation since I don't know whether the door rod is broken or not.

Thanks,Jman
