Yes, i know this is the Q section, but honestly, i expect a better (read:mature) response here, than most of the typical 240 crowd (lol). I know some of you have or have had experience in the S-chassis game, and might possibly know the quick answer. Please don't be mad for posting my 240 crap here, you guys know your stuff.

I know someone is gonna say search... well, i did. I didn't come up with anything except a ton of threads about Q45 diffs and s14 subframe into s13. I'm tired of sifting through the poo.

So... Will the G50 (90-96) Q45 REAR SUBFRAME bolt in to the S13 (89-94) 240sx???

The situation:
I have the 94 parts car Q (167k) that i yanked the motor/transmission out of and put in my '95 Q, which leaves me with the rear subframe and diff.

My 240sx has over 200k (body/hubs/diff) on it and the original VLSD, which i've tried to maintain, but it's now noisy n getting chatty. It was originally Hicas and i finally swapped the subframe out for a non-hicas about 2 years ago, and kept the original VLSD. Upgraded all the bushings to RS*R poly, and SPL solid subframe bushings.

IF the Q45 subframe could bolt in (with the eccentric solid bushings or whatever) then i would still have to concern the driveshaft length and lower strut mounts (which could be easily handled by putting Z32 lowers on my coilovers). I've thought about the angle from the strut top to the mount being off (too wide), and tilt (squat) of the assembly, but what else am i not thinking of??

The benefit of the subframe swap would be stronger diff with more swap options and 5 lug, and maybe the 10mm wider stance (if it's the same as s14) and less hassle of finding the right components to fit the Q diff into the S13 subframe.

Has anybody tried this setup? Know any good info or links?

Thanks Dudes

I think I looked at this before, and the Q45 is considerably wider that it wouldn't work. All you have to do is compare the body/frame sections of the FSM of the Q45 and the 240.
