i purchased my car from an old lady for 700 bucks, good condition, only minor problems like rear speakers blown, small coffee stains and a busted window regulator. The biggest problem ive noticed with the car is when it idles. The whole car shakes when it idles, when i hit 45 and 80 mph. She told me the Infiniti dealer looked at it and it needed fuel injectors. I looked at the cost and for a 1990 Q45, its going to run me around 125 per injector. Does anyone know a more reasonable fix? Im tempted to find some and install them myself because noone within 65 miles of me will work on a Nissan and those who will charge 250 for a tune up. Can anyone help me out as far as getting to the injectors, finding new ones, cleaning them, or just anything to assist me?

1.. Use the search button... If you would have, you would not have asked that question

2. Try running a can of BG44k. You should be able to get it from here.. http://www.infinitipartsusa.com/ or if you have a close by Oreilly Auto Parts, thy should have it too.

3. There is no way around the injectors, its either bad or good. and $125 per injector is good. Last time i heard it was $160. And if you need those.. call joe at the link above in #2.

4. Get someone to ohm your injectors.. it may just be one bad, not all... i dont often see all go out all at once..

5. Never take your car to anyone, before you do that, you do better working on it yourself. Just cause i know about a Nissan doesn't mean i know about a 1990 Q45..

6. If you would have used the search button foor injectors... all this stuff im saying would have repetitive.

Buying a 90 Q for $700 is just the entry fee to spending $3,000 [parts and labor] quickly and so on to perpetuity.

The $1800 to replace injectors is just the start because the under plenum hoses, knock sensors, and other thing on the engine will be tired and need of replacement.

Pay an expert to list all the defects in detail then we can help you.
