Looking for 98 Q45t front struts, does anyone know of a place other than the dealer who want $413.00 per strut... Thanx!

Don't buy the whole strut assembly if yours isn't bent or going bad. The insert costs $107.54 each. Direct link:

The direct link doesn't work, but the Everything Infiniti link in the previous post is actually the Trademotion site. I found the whole strut assembly, but can't find just the Insert.

The problem I'm having is the left front strut moves within the strut mount about 1/4" when I pull/push the top of the wheel when the car is on the ground. The nut is tightened down. Its like the Insert has slipped up a little in the strut casing. Is this possible?

Then, would I need the whole strut assembly?

Infiniti-parts.com has inserts for about $125 and strut mounts for about $75. Various rubber parts are also needed. Check out their site and you'll see.

Found the problem: Strut mounts. The rubber had worn/dry-rooted and broken away from the strut mount causing the strut to move around freely within the mount. New mount from dealer at $60 and $3 bushing fixed it. Now, off to the alignment shop.

Thanks for the input.

IOS knows all this and is an invaluable resource.
