q45 front ends

anyone know if the later of the 90-96 front ends will bolt onto the front of the earlier fronts? I am partial to having a grill opposed to not having one.

No, the fenders and front ends (and quite a few other details) are quite different.

One of the endless debates here is how many species and subspecies of the G50 there are.

If you have the whole clip, why wouldn't it work?

If you know someone in Japan, they can buy you a kit to give the 90-93 a grill (look).

There are differerences in the doors and rocker panels as well. So the simple answer to your question is, NO, a front clip will not fit cleanly.

Cheaper to just modify the hood to accept a grille (or buy a 94-96Q).

When I was looking for a car before I bought my G20, I recall seeing a '91 Q45 with a small chrome grill (not the one from the 94-96 G50s). It almost looked like the grill off of the 99-02 P11 G20...
