Help!!

I have a 1994 Q45 which is a great car. I seem to have an electrical problem. Some of the symptoms I am experiencing.

Passenger window(Front) goes up or down using switch on door even if key is not in ignition. Switch for this window does not work from console.

Rear window-Drivers side does not work at all(from window or switch on console)

Lights on door do not light for the passenger right or rear drivers side. These are the same one referenced above.

Remote alarmset/key lock does not lock the driver's side back door or the passenger front door.

LIghts do not work or blink when the remote control is pressed.

Does anyone have any suggestions on trying to fix this problem? I check all the fuses and they seem okay.

Ron

Never heard of a problem like you described about having the switch work with the car off, but who knows... maybe someone has messed with the wiring in the doors (given the light problems in the doors?)

Best bet is to get a good multimeter and your service manual to track everything down. I'd check the center console switches first to see if they're working correctly. Maybe someone spilled a drink in there and cased issues?

With the exact same problem in both doors with several issues, I'd lean toward something with the center switches - I know the windows won't work from the door switches if the center switch cluster is unplugged...

Check your manual. There is a section that s tells you how to recover the error cods in the self diagnostics built in the LAND computer.

Forgot about that... did the 94 already switch over to LAN? I thought it was 95 or 96?

I have a friend of mine thaqt has a Q45 just like mine. I will ask him If I can borrow his switches and see if this solves the problem. If not, it is back to the drawing board.

Thanks for the advice.

Ron
