Simple question.....

Will a ECU from a non active ECU work in an active ECU, and still be driveable.....?

I think you're asking if you can use an Active ECU in a non-active Q? If so, I think the answer is yes. I don't think the opposite is true, even for converted active suspensions. Really not sure about any of it, but I think that's right.

I am asking the opposite... Ryan is getting a JWT ecu for his Q45a, and we found an ECU from a non active car.... Just wondering if it will work..

Edit for clarification: can an active q can run on a regular q ecu

I really don't think so... if there's a separate ECU for active Q's - I suspect there's a reason for it. IF he has converted his to non-active, it may work. I'm still not sure. There are other electronic components to the active system that are not typically not removed and may go nuts without their signals from the ECU.

I would like to know the answer to this question.

I would be willing to copy EEPROM's and clone an ECU Daughter Card.

I need a ECU and TCU for my Active Q as well.

and I'm not afraid of Modding\Soldering.

I used to Hack nVidia GeForce(Retail Consumer) into Quattro (OEM\Pro) cards my swapping SMC's Resistors, MOD an XBOX an 1\2 hour ,Can Repair most anything electronic. Have been a board level tech for 5 years(not much need now-a-days)

I would like a new project.

I thing we need a NICO ECU Daughter card for Q45's and Q45a's

I would be willing to make such a card.I would be in need of a layout.

I could make the cards for peanuts

Old school EEPROM's are so cheap and I know a lot of places to get PCB boards fabricated with a EEPROM holder. They will even label them with our NICO logo

I have a ton of EEPROM flashing tools and utilitys.

It will run, but the active suspension will go into fail mode.

Agree. I use my active TCU/ECU in a non active. But the suspension controller will shut down if it does not get a signal from the ECU, so the reverse won't work.
