Hi Everyone. Well i replaced my valve cover gaskets today on my q45. I changed the passenger side cranked it up and everything was good. Then I changed the driver side cranked it up it smoked like a furnace so i shut it off and now it wont crank. I thought it was vacuum lines crossed but i double checked and im pretty sure there right. Do i possibly have an ignition problem? I just dont understand. Everything went so good. Please Please Help

I would check the fuel lines and make sure they are in there correct place and secured.

Did you wait 24 hours for the RTV to properly dry?

Did you follow the instructions on the package of RTV if not OEM? They are all the same though except OEM doesn't have instructions included.

I put a new battery in car and it cranks fine now, but it still smokes and has miss and wants to go dead when you go in gear. idling it runs fine but smokes and it just started doing this today when i changed valve cover gaskets.

Verify all connections are good. If Ok, then I believe the gasket is not seated properly, especially the part around the spark plug slots.
