I have searched but, did not find a definitive awnser to my question. I am in the middle of putting q45 brakes on the my car and orginally though that the ser rotors and q45 rotors were the same except for lug pattern. Well when i went to put them on it seemed like they were a little loose fitting. The caliper pistons had to come out of their bore a decent amount. I measured the ser rotor and found it to be 22mm and after a little research i found the q45 rotor to be 26mm. A 4mm difference doesnt sound like much and a lot of people are running with the ser rotors with no problems as of yet but, i just wanted to get some opinions on the subject. Here are a few pics of my q45 / SE-R setup with the pistons out of their bore.

Would you go with the SE-R rotor (22mm) or would you pay more and take the time to buy and redrill the q45 rotors (26mm)?

Thanks

EDIT: I am not sure whether the q45 rotor is 26mm or 28mm in thickness. I have searched and found both. So the difference could be 4-6mm.

i went ahead and bolted up the ser rotors with the q45 calipers and there is no way this is safe. I cant believe some people are running like this. They must of spaced the bracket out a little bit to help even it up. With all the hassle of spacing out the bracket and what not i will just go ahead and get the q45 rotors. The ears on this pad are probably a 1/8" from coming out of the bracket and bye bye brakes. This is a pic of the inside pad up agianst the rotor....the outside pad is better but not by much.
