Q45 brake upgrade????

Is there an inexpensive brake upgrade I can use on my maxima, as in q45 brakes and rotors?

Just buy some drilled/ slotted rotors and get some ceramic pads. you will have better stopping power, less noise and no brake dust building up on your rims. Thats what I would do anyway.

But what is special about the Q45's brakes?

q45 brakes are larger and are two piston versus one big piston

Oh. Well the only Issue I could see with that is that the caliper probably mounts further out if the disc is larger too. Then you will need an adapter plate or something. I saw someone put the Brembo brakes off of a 350 on a Maxima but had to use an adapter plate. But there is no reason it wouldnt work. It just might take some custom fabrication.

Alright I ordered a q45 caliper and a J30 caliper yesterday at work! I think I"m going to be using the j30 caliper it lines up perfectly, hopefully by next week sometime I will have a step by step on this conversion!!

awesome! are the J30's dual piston too? And are you changing out all 4 or doing the fronts only? Haha and if your using the J30's calipers why did you buy the Q45's? just for testing?
