You'll underutilize your rear brakes and lock the fronts way before the rears hit their threshold. This isn't great, although its better than too much rear bias, which basically is the e-brake effect while cornering (very dangerous oversteer when trail braking)

On the topic of pads I now swear by Paggid.

My M3 came with Paggid Blues and they work great. They're a lot better than the Axxis pads I had on the Z3.
