someone chime in, I just did the conversion, full rebuild done by myself, bled the system with the car OFF, still get sloppy peddle. I'm thinkin there is still air in the lines and it just needs to settle out. Let me know what you guys think. I had a leak on one of the calipers, took them both off, pulled the pistons, checked the seals, bolted back up, no more leeks, bled again, sloppy peddle. HELP, I want to stop and FAST

How did you adjust the assist rod?My brakes are nice and firm, but there is like 1/8" of dead pedal before it actually does anything.

i also would like to know what exactly you did to the assist rod to get a firmer pedal. i have the Q45 caliper upgrade on my car and like you my pedal is mush i just figured since the calipers were bigger they required more fluid to move the pistons hence pushing the pedal in further then normal.

I would be careful adjusting the push rod, if you adjust it past the compinsating vavle in the master cyl. it wil result in consntant pressure and make brake drag. If the petal was spongy with out adjusting it could have been a leak in the primary cup seal in the mast. cyl. This would cause a loss in pressure in the brakes without leaking any fluid. Sounds like you got it to work out though.

You may have a caliper sticking. Take off the side that doesn't lock up. Make sure the bracket slides and pistons can be pushed back.

Check the rear calipers too. If one is hanging up it can cause the same effect on the front.

If all this fails swap the pads from left to right in the front and see what happens. Sometimes the pads get glazed and cause a pulling problem. If this is true just change the pads.

what did you do to adjust the brake assist rod. i just did a Q caliper swap with altima rotors and the pedal goes to the floor even after a lot of bleeding. the master cylinder was good before the swap
