Hey. I just replaced the hoses under the plenum and the fan clutch. I take the car for a drive when start to hear boiling under the hood. I pull over and pop the hood and i see coolant in the reservoir boiling and I can hear a loud hissing from inside the radiator. Can you guys give me the bad news and tell me whats wrong? Its a 95

Did the car overheat really bad one time? The best case is the radiator needs replaced, the worst case is you have blown a headgasket..

What you're describing sounds disturbingly like what I dealt with on my old Acura Legend that had head gasket problems (The Honda C32 engines are known for it). Any overheating issues?

Did you bleed the air out of the coolant system after you refilled it? That's something you should try doing if you haven't tried it already.

Im not sure about the head gasket situation but i just realised the fan/PS belt broke off of the car. But i will bleed the air out of the coolant system.

Im hoping its not a head gasket because ive searched on here and it seems like its impossible to do. It has overheated very bad before which is when i noticed the fan clutch needed to be replaced and that tiny hose right under the plenum blew off.

Consider it toast.

I replaced the belts including the missing fan belt and the car runs fine now. No loss of oil or coolant and it pulls hard. Now I have to do the valve covers. While I do those is there anything i can do at the same time?

Spark plugs -- but I know you know that..

Compression tests if you have or can borrow a gauge..
