I had the ABS unit off and am wondering if I need to bleed the system in any special way or order since it has ABS. Or just the usual farthest corner first?

LR, RR, LF, RF, ABS Front, ABS Rear.

Seems a little backwards, but remember that the master cylinder feeds the ABS actuator, so it's sort of like the ABS actuator is the true master Cylinder (location wise). Check out BR-4 & 5 in your FSM.

Heath.

I see a guy on ebay is selling FSM's on CD for $25. Anybody have experience with these? If I am going to be a DIY'er, I guess that would be a good idea to get one!

Yeah, get one. I don't know how the CD ones are, but if you can pick one up for $25, then grab it. What year is your car?

Those are not *factory* manuals...just generic crap made for generic crap "all auto service" places. They have general procedures, some specs and some pics. I like them for the pics, cause I can print them out when working and not dirty up the FSM. Worth it to me for that alone, but definitely not a substitute for the real thing.

Don't get the ebay FSM. Several of us here have the REAL CD for the Q45.

Contact member "elwesso" - he might burn you a copy for a few bucks.

Factory FSMs on CD only go back to '94, which is nearly identical to the '90-'93s.

I agree.. I had a 1990 manual for a while (before I got my FSM on computer) and it was identical sans a few things (mainly about transmission shift points and some wiring diagrams)...

For your benefits and purposes it should be just fine..... hit me up email...

I'd still get the 90 FSM or similar. There are enough differences to make it worth the effort.

Lockwood - you mean to tell us that you did a successful DIY chain guide job without a service manual!!! You are one skilled (or lucky - probably both) guy!
