had the michelin pilot exaltos installed today, nice to be back in a V rated tire after the 235 xgt`s. alignment numbers are as follows:

FRONT

left right

camber -1.2 -0.8caster 5.0 5.4toe 0.04 0.04

REAR

camber -1.2 -0.6toe 0.09 0.06

how do they look? anything need fixing or replacing based on these numbers? upper links and tension rods done aprox 25-30,000 miles ago.

hmm, drivers side camber is a little off, still in spec... Caster is right where it should be...

Im interested why drivers side camber is so much worse than the passenger side.... They should have tried to adjust the rear camber a little.

have you preloaded your FSTB?

Increased wear from road conditions being typically worse on inside of lane and from weight bias due to driver.

Absolute caster number isn't nearly as important as side-to-side for good handling. That seems like a perfectly reasonable caster setting to me.

Camber seems fine too - usually more on L side because the driver's weight sags those springs more after a time.

I usually set the front toe with a little more toe in. Say instead of .08 degrees total i might set the around .12 degrees total. They tend to have inside tire wear.

And the front toe-in should be slightly negative, not positive.

If it was positive, wouldn't it be toe out?

Positive toe-in readings on a Hunter or similar alignment rack mean toe IN. Negative readings mean toe OUT. His is fine, although Infiniti TEch says that .8 degree total might be low for this particular car. It is most definitely IN.
