q45 98 alternator belt replacement

Replacing belts fairly straight forward until replacing the alternator belt. Does not seem to want to go over the fan blade. There are a series of smaller bolts holding the fan blade on. Is this the correct approach?

If you take fan blade off, you will have easier approach to all belts!Cheers!

I have 2 of 3 completed and was wanting to avoid the fan removal for the 3rd.

2 of 3? i thought there were 4. don't forget the belt that only drives the wp, so the wp can drive the alt.

Took fan loose out with old and in with new. Not too difficult. Autoparts guy gave me 4 belts, you mentioned 4 belts but I only see 3 belts and it is all buttoned up now. Well something to look at tommorrow.

when you get alt belt off, you will se 4th one behind it. kinda hidden!Cheers!Alt belt, a/c belt, w/p belt, p/s belt!

right. on the fy33, belts was the first job i did after oil change. that belt that just drives the wp throws me for a loop.
