Good Morning,

We have a 91 Q45 with over 240k miles. Car is fine but the only problem is it has difficuty starting. When hubby started this morning the first time, the starters turned and the engine came on but then died down.

The 2nd and 3rd time he tried again, the starters turned again but this time the engine did not come up at all. So he waited for a while and started again and this time the engine came on and did not die.

The drive after that was fine. This situation has happened several times.

I am very concerned. Kindly help. Thanks

no sound.

i am just wondering maybe theres no communication between the starter and the engine. Maybe the gear is faulty or the key is old - or whatever - that links the starter to the engine.

I am waiting. Thanks.

Change the starter blue relay first, then if necessary replace the starter, assumming that the battery is less than 3 years old and of proper quality and size and all cables are clean and shiney .

change fuel filter and like wes said, listen for a humming comming from the black tray imbetween the rear speakers. try with the radio off and just turn the key to the on position. you will hear a hum for a few sec. then start the car and listen for a hum with a higher pitch. i you hear a continuous high pitch change the fuel pump. and while your there change the fuel pump elec. processor.

Please don't without searching.

AZHitman has a recommended one, something like European Motors.

Hi Sansun!

Euro Imports, on Scottsdale Road. Call and ask for Steve, and BE SURE TO tell him Greg from NICO sent you (they're very selective about customers).

They are VERY skilled with the Q45.

If I may ask, how did you hear about NICO?

(And welcome aboard!)
