I have been having problems with my sunroof for sometime - automatic operation would not work. I had to push the switch several times to open and close, the roof would move a little bit at a time. Now it opened automatically and will not close. any help would be appreciated. thanks

Please describe the last 8 years annual mainteance you've done on the sunroof and it's rails. When were they last cleaned and relubricated. When was motor clutch last adjusted?Failure to maintain usually means you get to purchase brand new parts.

You have 5 dealerships and our 3 sites in ATL to chose from for evaluation.

Presume that sunroof preventative maintenance was not included in the $250 you spent at the sealers over the last 91,000 miles?

Good offer. Clean your rails and grease them with white lithium grease.

The only reason the motor fails is too much friction from dirty rails. See if you van adjust the motor's clutch for a little more life.
