Anyone dealt with dim low beams on these cars? How do these plastic "semi-sealed beams" compare to the HID setup used on the 99-01 models?
My headlights were getting pretty dim and yellowed with low-beams seriously lacking. I removed the housings and sanded off the oxidation with 600 grit then refinished them with some clear coat. Buffed some more and got them looking better. Not perfect but what can you expect.
I then replaced the headlight bulbs with PHILIPS 9003VP and the lights are MUCH brighter but still aimed too low. Attached workshop manual entry on this.
