Does anybody have the part # for the Wiring Harness for the knock sensors for the Q? I ordered it and what I got doesn't look right... but I may be wrongI have not removed the plenum yet, therefore I don't know how it looks like. I assume it is some sort of "Y" arrangement that connects to both KS (and maybe, to the Temp sensor). Am I right? Tks!!

The harness should have one plug on one end and 3 on the other...1 for each knock sensor,1 for temp sensor.

I remember hearing the 94 q model having 2 different harness part numbers, based on production date...sometime during the 94 model year, harness was changed and used thru 96.

Later model harness retails for about $60,joe sells it for around 40 if I recall correctly-I think the earlier version was about 2x the price

Check with Joe, but I think $60 or less.

So $15.00 was probably not right... My dilema now: Install the KS with the old harness or spend more $ and replace the harness too...I understand that it is very rare for the harness to fail...

just make sure plastic connectors are not cracked/broken,and use some electrical parts cleaner to clean any oxidation from terminals in each connector-spray and scrub with a small pipe cleaner

I have had great luck using Caig de-ox-it cleaner and protectant on all electrical connectors of my home stereo....order on line,or most radio-shack stores sell Caig products.

Actually harness failure is pretty common. I would absolutely wait to buy that harness before you button everything up.

Do you really want to go in there again? T-3 always replaces them all together.

$37.37 from Joe, unless you have the early VH45DE then $116+
