Had a good dance with a chump in a CL tonight.

Went at it from a 10-15mph punch. Needed to merge into one lane, winner gets the spot.

Rolled towards a red light together. Light went green as we were closing in on it. He punched, I punched. His half-car lead evaporated a LOT faster than I expected.

He shifted before I did, and that Honda engine does NOT sound nice at WOT.... By 70, the Q rear bumper was about a foot ahead of the CL's.

Nice and cool out tonight (after a good rain). Q running SO nice, I wanna stay out all night and drive.

Not that far apart on paper. It is 5-600 lbs lighter and probably geared a bit lower. Folks will try anything cause they simply don't know how fast Qs can be.

And punching it from 10-15 mph is one of our cars sweet spots.

I took a 7 series Bimmer like that a few weeks ago, rolling to a stoplight.

I really like it when SUV's try to get ahead of me to merge on the two lane on ramps.

6 MT CL S-type is not slow in a straight line if the driver can shift. Even the auto is not sluggish. 4.08 definitely helped in this situation. Being in first when it started would help (be necessary?) also.
