These are pics of my Q during subframe bushing replacement. I used urethane ones for a Z32 TT found at http://www.suspension.com for $70 for the set of four. I used a MAPP torch to burn out the bushings after I drilled around them & pried out the center collar. They just burned for about 15 minutes on their own & then I used a circular wire brush attachment on my drill & cleaned out the rest of the remaining rubber. Air hammer was needed to remove sleeve on the front two. Then the bushings went in with spray silicone & a rubber hammer. No press needed. Total time required was about two hours. That was from the time I jacked up the car until it hit the ground again. I had two friends helping. I tried to swap my Z32 NA (4.08 gears) into the Q. I bought another front diff flange & was gonna merely swap the side diff flanges from the Q diff onto the NA diff. The Q side flanges are longer & thicker than the Z32 NA. I was bummed. So I will have a shop swap out the internals between the two diffs sometime. I WILL have that gearing.

Well the Q used to drift very easily while taking left turns at speed. Like at on-ramps. Now it doesn't. Other than that, I can't really tell they are there. Which is good cuz some of my friends thought they might stiffen the car too much & provide more road noise & some ride harshness. They don't. Now I never have to mess with those leaky silicone bushings again. Took out my leaky tension rods earlier & replaced them with Z32 TT solid tension rods. Made it much tighter & responsive while getting rid of leaky silicone again.

You have really inspired me as far as seeing and hearing the application's of the aftermarket working effectively. Now the test of time will show the longevity of them.

Did you need to keep the rear metal sleeves on the subframe when putting in the poly bushing for the 300zx on your Q?
