a coworker, with a 95q,127,000 miles debated why i was replacing tension rods every 60,00 miles.he said his were original, and the car drove fine.i looked and his were old and gummy, like the silicone had leakled out and dried up.since he argues his car seems to run fine, what difference can i tell him to expect if he spends the $ to replace them? will he feel any difference in the way the car handles or rides? any effect on tire wear?mine have never looked as bad as the ones on his car,so i`m not sure?help me save another q and get a new NICO member!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Peoples standards vary. Drove fine compared to what

Since they set the caster and resist suspension forward movement in braking and maintain steering geometry.

The greatest impact would be on emergency braking and the way the car handles cambered roads [side to side dift] or abrupt emergency lane changes and handling.

Around town you might notice little other than clunking noises.

The tires start to toe-out and wear the inside front tires, kind of makes you realize how resilient these cars are.

OK, so the bushings have obviously lost their silicon fluid, and they are meant to be just as good as new? Puuhhllleeeeeaze!

I bet his upper links and brake fluid are in tip top shape too. Don't even look at the ATF or PS fluid.

its a sad sight to see, poor guy sees the q as transportation only,no love for the special charms we all covet in our q`s. dirty, brown tires, wheels with so much dried on brake dust, and an interior that looks like the infield after preakness!
