I was doing a little reading the other day and I read an article about the comparision between the sr20det and the new spec v motor, "i think the Q25". At the end they said "with a little machine work" that the crank and heads off a sr20 will fit into the Q25's block, thus resulting in a basically "higher reving" sr20 motor. Is this possible and what would needed to be done. They also went to compare the tough and heavy and internals of the sr20 and state the the new Q25 internals are slim "such as pistion arms", and they and weak. What do you guys think?

First off, if you want people to read your Thread, name it something other than "Q" no one knows what your talking about. Try to make it specific.

I think the engine code is QR25, not positive, but I think so. In the article in SCC, trying to combine the two engines and make a high reving... Not worth trying unless you've got alot of experience. I'd just use an SR20. High reving engines are always cool, but high power engines are better. A high reving engine usually won't hold up as long when run hard as an high power turbo engine.
