Word for word from the July 2004 issue of Motor Trend:

"After the unveiling of the Nissan Fuga concept, basis for the Infiniti M45, at Tokyo last year, Infiniti officials hinted that the M could eventually become the brand's flagship. But that stategy has changed, and the Q45 has a facelift for the 2005 model year. There'll be a new Q to top the M35/M45. We expect the new model (Q56?) in the 2007 model year."

Imagine the possibilities. The identical brawny 5.6 liter powertrain found in the Q56/Armarda that catapults the 5650lbs giant to a class leading 6.8-second 0-to-60 mph time will soon find another home in the next generation Q. Now that will truly live up to Infiniti's tag line: ACCELLERATING THE FUTURE!
