Although I'd love to relocate my battery to the trunk or in my lap while I drive/smoke a cigarette/eat Wendy's all at the same time [/inside joke], I feel very strongly with going with a battery replacement to accomodate a near future FMIC install. I've found BateryMart.com to have the cheapest prices for the good ol' Hawker ODDYSEY series batteries. Oooo Sexy Sexy.

Do any of you fellow 240 own3rz that have these batteries with FMICs LIKE IT?

If not Hawker's, are there any other cheaper competitive brands?

Have you encountered ANY problems with your battery?

How did you MOUNT the battery (tray, trunk, under seat, etc.???) and with what kind of brackets? (metal, plastic, etc.?)

What kind of wires/gauge and terminals are you running?

Plus any other opinions/rants/comments that others may have.

And if at all possible, pics, please?. Thanks.

The specs seem aight for most apps [mp3/dvd deck, subs, amps, and/or LCD/tv's] and NO Zach I will not be running a modded ps2/xbox in the 240.

you want a small battery? or relocate.

i have a small battery, and my only advice is that you undo a part of the loom and pull the main harness wire towards the battery slightly, otherwise things can get pretty tight. It was almost impossible to get my positive terminal tightened down until I did that.

why not reloacte to the trunk?

get an optima battery so it doesnt matter which way you mount it. summit racing has a kit for trunk mounting the battery...

theres a couple threads on a diy option too...

I had to do just that for my FMIC. I put the battery in the trunk and secured the plastic case down using existing holes in the hatch. Let me know if you want pics.

Personally, i kept mine up front. I'm lazy and dont want to have to install a trunk battery, the smaller one saved a few lbs., and keep to weight up front for your dorifto machine! http://www.store.yahoo.com/pha....htmlI picked mine up from the local Batteries Plus for $85(cheaper than Optima) and it fits beautifully.
