Q on which component speakers would be good for me...

ok, i have a 600w amp (cheapo brand called American Pro or something) with 2 6x9s that can handle a whooping 700w max!. now the problem is that they are too big to fit at the door so im thinking of cutting out the back speaker mounts to fit my 6x9s.

But, on to the component speakers, I am not sure which ones to get. The amp's RMS output says that its gives out about 200w x 4 @ 4 Ohms.

I know that the amp doesnt always give a constant output of 200w but can those speakers handle it in case i turn up the volume ?

Any suggestions would be nice but try to keep it under $130 for a pair of speakers cuz im broke .

Those speakers should be fine, I'd recommend you try listening to a few brands before making your decision as the tonality is different from brand to brand. How clean the amp's power/signal is will be more likely to contribute to the death of speakers than excess power.

Distortion kills speakers u can run over the rms as long as it is not distortedIn my opinion 6 1/2" are better than 6x9's but i go for sound quality over loudness
