Dennis (or anyone else) Can you share any knowledge of the Magnaflow 2.5 dual in-dual out?
It's a great match size-wise (18" shell), but I'm curious as to how much sound abatement it will provide. Local shop owner says he has both the Magnaflow and the UltraFlow ($175 vs. $260 installed with new chrome tips) and swears they're comparable in flow and sound.
p.s. If the only benefit of the Dynomax Ultraflow is just a matter of the stainless construction, be advised I'm gonna spray the unit flat black before installation anyway.

How would a local shop owner know which flows better with out testing the units on a particular car. That the major problem in the industry they think they'll all be put on a Mustang or Camaro.
I know on a Q45 that the Ultra flow has the best backpressure vs lowest sound level over 4 others choices but never tested a Magnaflow.
Their web page shows some very weird testing and a 454 V8 Surburban as the test mule which shaved 0.5 seconds 0-60 [9 seconds] seems high [the gain that is] to me but they could have smashed the stock system to make it worse so theirs would test better plus they dropped the surburbans premuffler. so they were not comparing apples to apples.....for their purported 19 HP gain......interesting that the 454 7.4 liter engine just equaled the stock Q rear wheel 230 HP after the magnaflow. Single exhaust pipe not duals..So divide the gains by half as the flow would be half per muffler and pipe.
If a muffler system drops 0.1 seconds off you are doing good. When Stillen never promised more than 8 HP from their complete system!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The interior design looks similiar but you always get what you pay for even in mufflers........noticed Magnaflow also makes stainless dual in out.
The Q exhaust system is very very low restriction stock and the dual system with optimized H pipe and the straight through pre mufflers are about as good as you can get.....Remember the rear muffler is a dual straight thru design also. Use a flashlight and look inside and a broom handle to probe its length you hit the rear chambers where each pipe dumps in.
The weight and thichness is there for longevity!
