My 91Q developed this lumpy , or uneven idle . I can feel the car shaking slightly , both in Drive , or Neutral . Everything else appears normal .Any suggestions ?

Sounds very "injector"-ish. Try searching in Inf Online Mech fro injector, I think you'll find some help.

CHECK THE MAF CONNECTIONS!!! jiggle it slightly and see if the idle moves. mine did the same thing, cleaned up the connections, put bulb grease on the brass, problem solved!jeff

Squeaze the fuel line (the one with the filter) closed with a pair of plyers for a second or so and then let go - with the car at idle. Only a second though! This will build up some additional pressure and may blast some of the crud off of the injector screens.

Also run a seach for "ohm test" for the injectors. The bouncing engine definately sounds like a dead injector to me.

Oh yeah, consider an injector rail flush and a couple cans of BG44k, available at everythinginfiniti.com.

Yet another cool thing Q45Tech mentioned when I was in Atlanta. Just limit pinching the line for a second or maybe two, but NO LONGER! You don't want something to break loose elsewhere from the pressure build-up!
