The last couple times i started up the Q it would rev th engine up to 2 k like normal but then it will only come down to about 1,400, instead of 600. The weird thing is when i throw it into drive it will go back down. Also my cars alignment is completely screwed. If i let go of the wheel it looks like im trying to get 5 lines over to the left . Is getting the alignment fixed on the q the same as any other car?

I have only had problems anywhere I go except for the one dealer here in Miami. They seem to know how to get my beast pointed straight. I had it to the Goodyear dealer 3 times within 2 months for a pull to the right and they could not get it pointed straight. Took it the the dealer....no problem. I now have a copy of the alignment specs that the dealer gave it so it should be all good if I take it to somebody else besides the dealer.

Saturday night, I was taking my mom and wife out to dinner. It was my mom's birthday. A nut in a Dodge truck blocked me for a little too long while I was leaving. I wanted to show him how much I appreciated him, by smoking the rear tires a bit. That was stupid.

I felt a "pop" under my foot whil I had it to the floor. After that, the idle wouldn't drop below 1400 RPM.

I wonder if your problem is the same problem I am having.

My idle problem is intermittent. Depending on whather its a warm start or what the climate is, it may idle around 1200 unless its in drive. Dont have a clue what it is, but the plenum is coming off this summer anyway.

It could be the fast idle cam that warms the engine up.

Jeff

You may want to check the timing, it is possible that the Camshaft positioning sensor moved to which limits when you jumped on it . And that was the snap you heard and felt.

EFEC page 35 - 36 of the 1995 factory service manual Delineates the timing procedure .

I suggest this because the factory service manual indicates that idling problems can be traced back to the oxygen sensor or improper timing.

I think it's worth a try

Best regards

Its only a problem when i have it in park.Sometimes its a lower rpm when in park like around 800 or somtimes its higher like 1500. Car drives fine and as soon as i put it into drive it will idle at 600 again.
