Obviously an OBD2 scanner would be worthless on a 1994 Q45.

Failure to spend the minimal $2000 per year for M&R or failure to use technicans with correct CONSULT test equipment.

Gets very confusing when members and replyers mix 1994 models with Cimas, or OBD1 with OBD2 as there is almost nothing in common.

I thought this was a 1997, as in "1997 Q45."

Too many posters to this thread asking the same question of different model years and different engines and OBD systems.

Thanks Jeff I will keep him in mind. Been very busy lately but hopefully if it doesn't rain this weekend I'll get the cleaning of TB and EGR including the valve.

As far as the PS leak, it was the small 'J' shaped hose going and out of the radiator. Easy fix.

I'll keep you guys posted. At least for now I don't have to take side streets to skip Cops as I got an extension on the registration until end of the year.

the only hoses other than coolant that go in and out of the radiator are the transmission cooler lines- NOT power steering lines......be sure to double check transmission fluid level!!!

*** UPDATE ****

Last weekend I decided to clean the TB and the EGR valve. I took out the TB and what do you know, the hole which connects to the EGR valve has got a mountain of carbon build up so the litte hole to EGR is totally cloged. Sprayed some TB cleane and scraped all the carbon crap out. It nice and clean now. Cleaned out the EGR nicely with spraying cleane inside and used compressed air to nicely clean it. Cleaned the TB as well. I'm pretty much sure that was the problem to not passing the smog test and high numbers in NOX.Planning on going for re-test this week, I'll update you guys on it.
