OK. whats the chances/cuase of a Dist teeth to sherd the gear off where it meets inside the engine?

can dist be tested if bad? can it be fixable?

or replacing the whole motor a better solution?

please help!!

and if someone has a swap? hit me up!

so you found your problem with no start huh? I have never seen that happen [interesting] the only cause I can think of is it was forced down over the shaft improperly aligned. Was it difficult to align? you can replace the shaft independantly of the engine it just slides in from the oil pump side.

yep! this drove me nuts!well had to bring to my friends shop. he told me that it was this. when he removed the cap he could move the rotor by hand theres clicking noise. so do i need to remove the timing chain in order to replace this part?

no you can leave it all together and drop the oil pump out the bottom and remove the shaft that way. be sure you set your engine to top dead center before you go back together and match up all your alignment marks on theoil pump and shft before shoveing it back up in there.
