Q bumpers

Has anyone taken bumpers off the Q? I need to take the front bumper off, have it painted and put back on the car.

Haven't taken the bumper off , but the hubcaps just means you haven't posted very many time. Hubcaps will change will more post and the next one will change with more post...................:thumbup

Thanks Dennis.But, has anybody actually done it. The manual makes it look a whole lot easier than it actually is.

I took the car to a couple of body shops. They took the head lights out and checked it out a little closer and stopped there. They said they won't take the bumper off the car, but they will be happy to paint the bumper for me on the car, they would tape it so good that it would be like they had taken it off the car painted it and put it back on the car and I cannot tell the difference.

Body shop here does take them off, sends them to Vancouver BC to a guy who has the molds. He refurbishes them, returns them to shop where they are painted and mounted back on the car.

Not cheap, but less than buying new parts.

Have a brand new Black cover used 2 days sitting waiting to be painted Gray......took about an hour to remove when we were stripping a wreck.

The problem is how do you match new paint to a 13 year old paint job. Gotta win the lottery so I can get a decent $6,000 paint job.

i took the front bumper off once. you have to remove the headlights to access some bolts and there's also a scew in the fenderwell you have to take out. i'm not sure if there is anything on the bottom that needs taken out.
