That kit is cr@p and still missing vital parts needed for a kit.nly thing I might think about is the intercooler if I were to run low boost.Heard nothing but bad thigns about them. However one person is on here with their kit for one year and no problems. It's a hit miss kinda thing. But the mani won't work for the SOHC. Our sponsor IAP sells a complete kit for 2600 shipped to us.I'll have my kit tomorrow or first of the week. They have very well made products backed by warranty which won't be needed unless some kinda of fluke.Either buy one of our sponsor kits or piece together a junkyard tubo kit. You'll need at least a big t3.t25 are too small for the ka.

Heard about the turbos being glued together.intercoolers are dented and looks like they been dropped 1000 too many times.Piping is worthless.Bov is worthless.Still need oil kit.Going to need fuel pump and fmu/safc and injectors.Your best option is to go to a junkyard and get turbo parts. And either get a jg mani and weld yourself or buy one from our sponsor.Think IAP mani was it it 450 shipped?may of been 500...how many lbs of boost does he plan to run.Will/I'll make a list of what you will need.'s all on here if you search but will make it easy for you.Assuming his engine is stock?Any suspension?Clutch? I'll be on tomorrow, I got work in 5hrs.G-nite

oh thank you very much for your help

First, his car, 1989 coupe with 1990 KA24E engine. The engine has good compression, no smoke, run strong. Everything is stock now.

His goal is 350hp. (basically 0-60mph in 4.5second is what he dreams every nights) He says he will buy stage 2 clutch, basic used coilovers, no toe and cam change, big brake upgrades probably Q45 calipers. I think he know what he's doing. But we couldn't find any affordable turbo kit ( funny he still wants 350HP. iknow i know... ). I'm just thinking it as "cheapest turbo he can get." Since we have no shop we can work, we decided to not remove stock KA.

I read lots of KAT guys use t3/t04e turbo.

1.0 A/R is WAY too big for a KA24E...

Look for a T3/T04E with .63 A/R...maybe .82 if he can stand the extra lag.

...

And the welding on that manifold looks horrible...may be plenty strong (?), just looks bad.

IMO... - Brian

If your shooting for 250rwhp you can't cut on the vital parts. Get a mani with t3 flange and a t3/t4 turbo.Junkyard intercooler will work if you find a decent one.But it may not support that much power.....He's goign to need larger injectors and boost ocntroller etc.I've already spent $4000 on my car and only have 230ish hp but once I feel safe I can get close to 300. If I got something to control my timing I could go to 550

The DE manifold doesn't fit because it has a different flange bolt pattern, and the exhaust ports are positioned in a different way. It won't match up whatsoever.

That manifold will probably bolt in, but you probably won't be able to use it on a 240sx. Notice that he said he made it for a stanza....

Turbo setups are expensive. Plan to spend at least $1000-1500 if you don't make any parts yourself.

Tell your friend if he wants power he has to pay. Manifold and turbo, mine as well get good ones.Everything else you can piece together. But in the end be cheaper to buy a kit lik eIAP and then jsut upgrade your fuel and get some electronics.

Actually, you can turbo your car for little money, but you won't have the fastest or most reliable setup.

Parts needed:manifoldturbosr IC and pipingoil linesdownpipefuel pumpfmu

It shouldn't cost much more than $1000. Don't expect to pay less than that.

Well, once his friend realizes what he's getting himself into, he'll start small and work his way up. Otherwise he's gonna get some sensed knocked into him hard!(probably by his wallet)
