I have a turbo manifold on my KA-T with no bung for the egr tube.I crimped the tube and my car runs fine. Is that tube the heart of the egr system? do any other part of my emissions system work without the tube?I live in an area where emissions dont matter to the government.Since im not using the tube can i just remove all the emission componants with no addition loss?

Follow the tube to the intake manifold. The tube should lead you to the EGR valve.

Since your tube is blocked, the EGR system is basically useless. You can remove it with no extra harm, just make sure you block off the area where the EGR valve used to be, and that you route the vacuum lines correctly which used to be going to the EGR valve..
