Hey guys,

I hope you are all doing great! Here is my new riddle, have any of you had their coolant hose (the wide one that goes from the radiator) squeezed? After I open the radiator cap and let the air in, the hose widens back to its round shape. What's up with that? Let me describe another thing that I observed and I am not sure if its related but I will go ahead. When I drove during warm weather and put the AC on, and aluminium container on the passenger side ( the one with a light green cap on it) got completely frozen just like you would see it frozen in your fridge at home. Is this normal/or maybe related to my problem with the coolant hose?

Thanks,Andre.

Whats up andre!!!!! I forgot to call you we had a meet down at Ft Ben 3 weeks ago or so.

Anyway, about the AC thing being frozen, mine does that too.. I think its undercharged or overcharged, im going to have it evacuated and recharged this summer... My old Q did do it.....

About the coolant hose.. thats strange.. Do you have any air bubbles in your cooling system.....??? That sounds like that could do it, causing the water pump to want to pull air instead of water.....

is your overflow tank full too???? have you drained/refilled your raditator...? maybe theres a small leak in the hose.....? might get some bulk hose and replace it.....

Hey Wes!! Three weeks ago I was in Moscow so I could not make to the meet even if I knew about it. Next time though please keep me informed as I would love to check out other rides and of course see you ... As to my problem, I will do those things that you mentioned. Also what I noticed is that if the outside temprature falls below ~35F the normal operating temprature of the engine, which is when the temp meter is parallel the ground, never reached. It will show as if the engine is a little warm but not at its normal operating temprature. I was wondering if 35F of outside cold can prevent the engine from warming up sufficiently. What do you think?

Andre.

After doing the Tstat, id double check that you dont have any air bubbles in the cooling system. if i recall you did the plenum a while ago... run the car for a while with the heater on 85 and then after it cools down seewhat the coolant leve is when you take the cap off...
