I have a 94 Q 45 with the stock 15 wheels and was wondering if i could use 17 inch wheels off of a 2004 G 35 without any trouble. I can get a great buy on the wheels and tires.

The 17" G35 Sedan wheels are 45mm offset and will work. However, note that they are only 7" wide. This restricts the size (width) of tire that you can mount, and the selection of tires that are have the correct load index (95 or higher) for a Q45 is too limited.

If you get the 17" G35 Coupe wheels, however, these are 30 and 33mm (front/rear, although I forget which is which). The nice thing about these wheels is that they are 7.5" wide and will take a 245/45-17 tire. Most of these are generally strong enough for the Q. The offset makes the wheels stick out a tiny bit under the rim of the fender, but not too bad looking at all. I would avoid using any lowering springs, though!

If you would like to see pictures of what a 1995 Q45 would look like with the G35 Coupe wheels, check out my pictures in the Members Rides section:

the new Z rims fit really good on the Q, and look stellar. I like the more ornate 6 spoke design personally.
