Hello All,

Nissan wants over $300 to install my window regulator. I've ordered (& received) my replacement window regulator and am about to dig into my door to try and replace mine myself. I've already spent 4 hours learning about the multiple regulator tracks the window rides on since I had to raise the window for a period while waiting on my new part so I know it's a pain and very difficult to do with 2 hands only.

• Anything I should know before attempting this project?• Should I think I can pull the regulator out and replace it while leaving the glass in the door?• I guess the motor has to come out and be assembled to the regulator prior to remounting in the final position?• Is there any trick to attaching the motor to the regulator?

Thanks for any suggestions guys... if I can manage this, my new Z will be all in order and ready to be considered fully functional.

the glass is gonna have to come out for sure, and I'd think the motor as well (havn't had cause to replace the regulator) an extra pair of hands makes things a lot easier, or an NSR_Z32 suggested in another thread a couple of large suction cups to hold the glass in place

had a problem with the pass. window not going up, ordered a window motor off ebay, then, BEFORE even attempting to remove the old motor, i just cleaned both switches in the doors, and what do you know? it now works just fine, and i have a window motor i dont need!
