I don't see how it would improve your mpg. The pcv valve can cause problems with your oil when it malfunctions, but it's not a performance item.

i wouldn't change the pcv valve, nissan pcv valve dosen't fail like honda pcv valve. only change the pcv valve if you're loosing oil from engine.
