We've all had the chance to take our Versas out on the road, some of us for a few days, some for a few weeks.

So is the car living up to your expectations? Many of us will be considered pioneers, buying a mostly untested (in the U.S.) car.

Also, post any problems you may be experiencing, and what you did to solve them.

Had a similar issue someone else on here posted first, the clutch felt like it wasn't fully engaging or maybe slipping. took it back to Solon Nissan and they adjusted an ASCD Switch, now its working fine, still loving this car. (1200 Miles) FINALLY! the breakin period is over!

Yup, that was me who was first bitten by the clutch slip/ASCD switch problem.

I've also had a "mirror was installed at the factory on top of a dented door" problem (causing massive wind noise at 40+ MPH), which was corrected by the dealership also.

Currently I'm suffering the "driver's power window express roll-up option does not work" problem, but seeing as how the window still goes up and down and I use my car for work, I'm still waiting for another NICO'er to take their car in to have this looked at (because I know at least one other person has reported this).

I have NOT experienced the infamous TPMS bug.

Yeah thanks for the post on that clutch switch, i would have assumed it was me shifting wrong otherwise. that sucks about your window, i have yet to experience that. thats funny the tpms bug. my friend works at Discount Tire and when i showed him my car the first thing he said was;"Oh **** you have those damn pressure sensors!" hope this car proves him wrong and never gets a 'bug'

Another ASCD switch adjustment here. Other than that - NO problems !

I did blow the fuse for the power outlet a couple of days ago, but no biggie.

Lovin' the car - Mom loves hers - friend loves his. We all had our cars in a line at Mom's last Saturday and somebody said we looked liked a Versa commercial. Hell, anything would be better than what they're running on tv right now.

I hear that about the commercials. I have people asking me "Have you seen the Versa commercials? They're so funny!"

I just don't like 'em.

I absolutely love my Versa. It's versatile and fun to drive, and has the best gas mileage of any car I've owned so far.

Two years, 25,000 miles, and absolutely no issues. Lifetime mileage is 29.3 MPG. Just a couple months back we managed to squeeze a new elliptical machine (in the box) in the back with the seats folded. The guys at the store were shocked. Very pleased with how it's holding up, too.

First, I love my V.Second, it meets my expectations, and exceeds some too!

I am far from the lower choices because:

1. I drive long distances in the summer for the family vacation spot, and the V is more comfy a highway cruiser than someone with my budget could hope for

2. I can fit me, my wife, two nightstands and 8 drawer dresser (in IKEA flatpack) in the back of the car with the 60% rear side down and the passenger seat flat. I couldn't believe we got all that in the back. Total weight of all the furniture was ~500 lbs.

3. Steering wheel controls are the business. 'nuff said.

4. I can afford it without stretching.

That being said, I didn't choose 'Very Satisfied' for a couple reasons.

1. I am a mild enthusiast and wish the car had a little more get up and go on the onramps, and more supportive seats for the corners.

2. If I put my daughter's stroller in the hatch, I can't carry anything else back there. All purchased goods roll around the back seat floor. Heaven forbid I get in a wreck on the way home from the grocery store and my milk explodes all over the interior.

3. My passenger side mirror defroster didn't work at delivery, but was replaced under warranty.

4. At 36000km, my cruise control works 90% of the time, the other 10% is mysterious. If I shut off the car and start it again, it works. There's no rhyme or reason to it. Hard to solve a problem that isn't consistently repeatable.

5. I wish the car had a taller 6th or final drive ratio. 3000rpm at 100kph? I would expect that in 5th.

For a next car....if only they made a versa wagon with a 2.5L I4 6spd, even if it was $4-5K (CDN) more than the 1.8. That would solve the space issues with a stroller (good thing I didn't have twins), and soothe my inner petrolhead.

I love my Versa. So far she's been the best girlfriend I've had in a while... LOL. I've had it just over 2 years, 40, 000KM and no issue so far... I waited at least a year before I started making much changes to it. Versa Perfect!!

I'v had my Versa for about a year now and I haven't had any problems with it at all. I got all the upgrades I could possibly get package wise so I got the CVT and Bluetooth and all that good stuff.

I haven't had any problems at all getting up to speed on freeways or on/off ramps. I fly past everyone on the freeway usually. I keep getting rock chips from trucks on my hood so I am slowing it down and keeping away from them atm till I can find a bug deflector of some sort.

But anyways.. my car has been great ever since I have bought it. I'm glad I got my Versa instead of the Sentra SE-R VSPEC that I was gonna get. Even though it was loaded with goodies and had Turbo. :/ lol

If we had been buying the car as a primary family car we would be happier but we bought the Versa with very narrow expectations, intending to use it as a high gas mileage vehicle for day in, day out use for local errands and occasional short freeway jaunts. The creature comforts for the price swayed us to the Versa over the other vehicles with 30+ mpg city ratings but we would have been better off with a Yaris the way we utilize the car. We expected a 30+ mpg average out of the Versa and haven't been able to achieve it on 50% city, 50% fwy driving so we've been disappointed with it.

The Versa is a very good car but it doesn't really fit our wants and needs. Now we're using it as a primary car with the intention of hanging on to it long enough for some of the ultra high mpg cars to hit the market or the electric cars to get good enough and cheap enough for us to get into one.

It's all about whether the car is right for your particular wants and needs and the Versa just hasn't been the right vehicle for us.

...........your neck of the woods is all hills and mountains. the power to weight ratio on a v is terrible unless you live in flatter areas. i drove a sentra from las vegas to san francisco and that car purred up the mountains with the mr20de engine. also got great gas mileage. you should seriously consider trading in your v for a sentra or at least test drive one in the mountains you'll notice the difference right away i did.

The hills aren't the only problem right here. At least three stop signs and two traffic signals in the first 1/2 mile plus the hills just to get out of the neighborhhood are. The Versa eats the gas right out of the driveway until I get out on the main roads, preventing me from even pulling the 30 mpg the car was city rated for. First car I've ever driven that I couldn't get at least the city mileage as an average.

I've driven the car to Florida and back and it was very comfortable. Great cruise control, too. That trip's gas mileage was around 32 overall; it would have been better but I caught some horrendous headwinds in the hills of west TX and NM. The creature comforts of the SL with packages are absolutely the best of the small cars but that wasn't our intended primary purpose for buying it. Those were luxuries added on that we could afford while still intending it to be a utility car.

Changing cars right now is out of the question. I am currently out of work (layoff) and we owe more on the car than we can sell or trade it for. So, we'll hang on two it and see how the whole automotive market shakes out over the next few years.

POWER WINDOW "AUTO UP" INOPERATIVE

This bulletin amends NTB06-065b. The Applied Vehicles has been expanded. Please discard all previous versions of this bulletin.

APPLIED VEHICLES:2007 - 2008 Versa (C11)2007 - 2008 Altima Sedan (L32)2007 - 2008 Altima Hybrid (HL32)2008 Altima Coupe (CL32)2004 - 2008 Armada (TA60)2005 - 2008 Frontier (D40)2004 - 2008 Maxima (A34)2003 - 2007 Murano (Z50)2005 - 2008 Pathfinder (R51)2004 - 2008 Quest (V42)2007 - 2008 Sentra (B16)2004 - 2008 Titan (A60)2005 - 2008 Xterra (N50)2003 - 2008 350Z (Z33)2008 Rogue (S35)

IF YOU CONFIRM

A power window "Auto Up will not work.

ACTION

Perform the following initialization procedure:

1. Turn the ignition switch ON. 2. Open the window-all the way DOWN. 3. Pull all the way UP on the switch and hold (close the window).

Continue holding the switch all the way UP for 4 seconds after the window is closed. 4. Confirm the window is now operating correctly. NOTE :

^ If the window is still not operating correctly, refer to ASIST and the Service Manual for further diagnosis and repair information. ^ The above initialization procedure must be performed if any of the following occur:

> Battery cable is disconnected > Power window switch connector is disconnected > Power window regulator is replaced > Power window motor is replaced > Window glass is removed > Window glass run rubber is replaced > Power window fuse is blown > Window is partly opened and/or closed many times without being fully closed. I didn't think my V had this option , till one of my co-workers complained about his not working, and his being a basic V, I figured his wouldn't have this option ,because I figured mine loaded SL didn't have it.

What a fool I was when i figured out I had it.... ....So give this a try and see if it solves your window problem.
