Hi all,

I am seriously looking at buying a used car in the next week or two, and have pretty much narrowed down the options to a G35.

I am currently trying to decide between buying an '04 or an '05. I know that the power of the engine changed between those two years, but I have also read that they changed some of the interior stuff between the two model years. I was wondering if anyone could go into a bit more detail of the difference between the model years, and perhaps suggest what route I should be looking at.

In both cases, I am hoping to find around 30-50k km (~50-80k miles).

Thanks in advance for the help!

Welcome to the list fellow Albertan! I was born & raised there.

I can't help you myself but I'm sure others will be around soon to help you out. Be sure to post pics of your ride once you get it.

Surely you mean 30-50k miles (~50-80k km) :hide

Anyways, to answer your questions. There have been some quirks on the 03-04 models, like premature brake wear, brake dust, cd not working. Nothing major.

They somewhat improved the 05+ interior. I would go with the best deal you get. If you get 2 deals that are close, then get the 2005.

Are you looking for a sedan or coupe? Manual or auto?
