well as alot of you know im selling my car, so i went to get it inspected today so when i sell it, it'll have fresh inspection stickers on it, i figure , 15 dollars, they give me my sticker and im on my way...but noo, i fail inspection b/c the guy says that he recomends a new exhaust from the cat back:eek: .so i go to the local car parts store and get another stock exhaust(perfect chance for an a/m exhaust if i wasnt selling the car), we take it back to my friends house and take the old one off, and decide the easiest way to get the new one on is put it on piece by piece(4 pieces), so we get started...everything goes pretty smooth until we get to the last piece, the muffler, and it wont fit on , either we can get it in the end of the pipe but not on the rubber clamps, or we can get it on the clamps but it wont go in the pipe.
my guess is that the pipe is too long, does that happen alot, or is that somewhat normal for the piping measurements not to be accurate??i had to drive it home with no muffler, and to tell you the truth it sounded pretty good, real deep toned....i guess ima have to get someone to cut the pipes a little shorter right? and also i was thinking about taking the stock exhaust back, which was almost $80!?! and just getting an aftermarket exhaust, like one off ebaylike this oneim mean its cheaper and it looks better ...you guys think that sounds like a good idea?
