I am putting a replacement KA24de motor into my 95 240sx this weekend. before I do though I am going to do the following:

valve cover gasketoil pan gasketplugswiresfuel filtersynthetic oilcap and rotorair filter

Is there anything else that I should do to the car while I have the motor sitting on the stand? The motor has 175 compression across all 4 cylinders and 45 psi oil pressure.

Thanks

Nick

If its out and you have time, bolt on your accessory componentes, also delete/block off your EGR valve with nickels. Just unscrew that pipe in the header and the one near the egr valve itself.

I say just get a piece of sheet metal and some gasket sealer for the egr. What I did.Check all your vaccum hoses now to see if they are in good shape.Go buy new ones it only cost like $15 for the hole car.Maybe change belts, check for leaks on engine. If you plan to turbo.Weld on a bung now. And just cap it off.

make sure your plugs and wires are oem. dist cap and rotor would not hurt. you could also replace front and rear crank seals.
