Putting in ps

I just bought a '89 240 with a sr20det in it and I want to put the ps in. My question is will any bracket and pump work from a ka equiped car or just a 240, also can I do this without putting the a/c compressor in.

You can put the ps on without the A/C and as far as the braket from any ka equiped some are differernt but you should be able to find one from a junkyard or new at nissan for next to nothing. Go on ebay or call some junkyards. Just replace with oem.

KA bracket dosn't work, but if you have an SR bracket the KA pump will put you in business. Also the AC and PS bracket are different so you don't have to do both if you don't want too.

also you will need power steering lines and resevoir from a 91- newer dohc 240 or you will have to modify your existing lines.
