it seems like it has been forever since i last drove my 240 thats been sitting in my garage since last april but i think this coming weekend we can finally bring her back to life. I started to rebuild the engine after i blew the block last april but have not had the time to put the engine back in, i had to replace the oil pump, and block and figured what the hell i have the engine out might as well rebuild the engine, so i did that. i had to replace to engine mount to because the force of the blast destroyed the block and blew off the mount. My question is, while putting the engine back together and putting it back into the car what do i need to look out for and what are some common problems with reinstalling the KA, and what are common problems with starting it up after such a long hiatus, ive searched and come up with minimal reults, any help will be appreciated. thanx!

put the trans, motor together and put them back in at the same time. My S13 has been out of commission for many months now and I just a few days ago put a KA in there. Took only about 10hrs working by myself . Now i just need a MAFS to get it running.

Make sure you crank the engine by hand so all the oil get inside all of the areas. Other than that your good to go!

you should charge up the battery. the WP and alt. should be fine... like previously stated... crank the engine over by hand a few times to circulate oil.

after you do it by hand, pull the fuel pump fuse and crank the engine over a few times to prime the oil pump... other than that.. you should be good.
