I just recently purchased a cherry Infiniti QX4. The stock wheels are chipping really bad as I've found most do. So I have been searching Craigslist ad found a set of 24's with new 305/45/R24 tires for a steal. The bolt pattern is correct, and I am fine with doing some trimming....but will I need a lift??

If so...what is the biggest wheel I can run without a lift?

at 45/R24 those are some huge tires. too big imo. plus 305 width is insanely wide.

post some pics of your ride and wheels (that you want)!

Above is a pic of my truck in its current state (stock) and below is a pic of the wheels. Please someone give me some input/past experiences about the fitment!

Curious as to the answer to this one too. I want to run some big tires with negative offset so I get a fat lip that reaches the edge of the fender flares, hellaflush. Aha, and I'm trying to avoid any sort of wheel gap. Wondering if 22's with the 2" drop they sell online would be alright.

I wouldn't suggest going over 22's. With 22's you'll at least be able to get thick enough rubber to be comfortable.

Really?? I thought I would get more feedback. Honestly, I thought there would be more people speaking their opinions about disliking big wheels on an SUV!! Lol!

In my opinion dont go any bigger then 20s with the drop, take a look at the other thread asking about wheels, i posted some pics of my ride there,

Also the 2" coils are basically race springs, handling is great but be warned ride is rough.

I run 20"x9" wide for my spring/summer/fall wheels and it is great, dont get any wider then 9 because you will run into rubbing issues, my fitment is basically spot on as it clears the struts and has maybe 2mm or so before it would rub the inner fender while turning, tires are 265/45/20, also since this is rwd it will suck in rain with wide tires, mine are 9" and paired with tires that have hard sidewalls and the really stiff drop, while turning at an intersection your rear can slide out at any time, happened to me multiple times but i know how to handle it, if your not careful you'll be doing a 360.

Any wider then what i already run is just dumb, my bmw does have drag car tire sizes but it also has awd and a ton of power, rear wheels are 20x11 and 315 tire and front are 20x10 with 275 tire so its a ton wider then the pathfinder but its designed for it and weighs more, you also have stability to save your a** where as the pathfinder you dont.

And heres a pic of the rear beamer wheels, when i said drag sized i wasnt kidding,

ive seen 26" on QX4 with 3" lift.... some dude in florida....

I know you can run 31" overall diameter with minimal rubbing on stock suspension, so I imagine 24 on rubber bands *should* fit fine

With any of these you still need to worry about strut clearance with offset and tire/wheel width

How much fender to wheel gap do you have with your 20's? Curious to know.
