Sure you can Jeremy, But it really isn't as straight forward as that. You'll need all the parts that go along with a turbo, even if running low boost. Things such as the exhaust manifold, fuel pressure regulator, down pipe, some sort of boost control depending on what you get the turbine off of.

In the end I don't think it would be worth it. If I were you, I would get a N2O kit from NOS and use that for some fun until your rebuild is done. Plus you can keep the N2O on the new engine.

Its been almost 7 years since I've been in the states to fill up a N20 bottle. So I'm pretty sure prices have changed. I'll venture to guess around 80 bucks.

That dosent seem like to much cash per fill but ? does 10 pounds last very long. i know it depends how often i would use it. but on an average

I went by a car shop to day and looked at some nitiro kits for a 2 pound bottle and kit the guy want $425 bucks i think thats a little much plus its a 2pound bottle and its a the dry nitro. But he said he could fill it for $2.50 a pound. He said it would connect to the intake just in frount of the butterfly so i wouldnt need a new fuel rail.

I think that most people aren't as resourceful as others and therefore over-estimate the cost to turbo charge an engine using a factory turbo.Key word being "factory".I got a T3 garrett for free.I'm in the process of rebuilding it for my own specific purposes.I'm also going to attempt to fab my own manifold. The only thing that I will be purchasing after-market is the IC(if I can't come up w/ my own design),boost controller, and a few other FM gadgets.

Consider it my all factory project.

Tony : fab my own manifoldwow...

Why can't you make your own IC and boost controller ? If you can fab your own manifold, IC and boost controller is just piece of cake.

Because I don't know exactly how the working parts of a boost controller operate. An intake manifold only consist of the plenum area and runners which are both generally hollow peices just as the exhaust manifold is made up of hollow tubes connected to flanges. Now if you'd take the time to go back and read the parenthesis by the IC statement you'd realize that I'm capable of making my own IC.

I am not trying to be sarcastic. I just want to let you know it can be done.

You need a T flange, spring, iron ball, and a nut that fit into the T flang to make a boost controller. You need some drilling too. You can get all parts in a normal hardware store. Here is the site give you more detail. http://www.well.com/user/mosk/boost.htm

chet makes a boost controller:

1. boots up computer2. logs onto http://www.ejukuracing.com3. places order for AVC-R4. waits for part to get there5. takes part up to ballanced performance and gets it installed and tuned via dynojet.

SIMPLE! I LOVE IT!-chet
