Hello everyone, i just recently bought a 93 4cyl Hardbody with 105K. This truck didn't come with A/C. Are these trucks pre-wired for A/C like the Toyota pickup? On my Toyota i got a complete A/C system, bolted it on, plugged it in, charged it and i was done. Can i do the same for my Nissan? Thanks

Best easiest way to find out is visit a junkyard or look at a truck with AC and compare the wiring harness. Look to see if you have wires in your harness like the one with AC, that is the easiest way I know to find out other than contacting NISSAN or an AC shop and asking them what all is needed to add it.

I'm pretty sure that a lot of the a/c systems were dealer installed options back then... I remember talking to someone who owned one that said that was the case. RT's advice is pretty good... if you can find one in a junk yard you can take a detailed look to see if the wiring is already there. I suspect that it is - or there's a subharness somewhere that plugs in.

You might even call http://www.everythingnissan.com to see if the kit was available that year... If you pull an old one you'll probably need some hoses and o-rings, etc. so you won't be wasting their time.

Good luck!

Heath
