Hi,

Got a new starter magnetic switch. Not exactly brand new but rebuilt at a wholesaler's shop.

At the first time, I put the switch onto the starter and when I put the battery negative cable onto the battery (ignition key was not it), I hear whinning sound of probably the starter running (could it be the solenoid running?). Disconnected the battery cable again and I moved some battery cables running into the solenoid around and again cpmpleted the battery circuit. This time the starter didn't run. Now went into the cockpit and turned the ignition switch on and I again hear the whinning noise of the starter(or may be the solenoid) but not the sound of the engine cranking in. Engine doesn't start.

What is going on and could be wrong?
