o.k. so I put in a new alternator and now when i turn the key to acc nothing turns on. The car starts fine and runs how it should. The only thing is the radio clicks in and out and I have to step on the gas before my gauges work (when i first start it). Im thinking I may have blown a fuse cause I forgot to disconnect the battery when I was taking the alternator off. If that could be the problem how do I check the larger type ACC fuse under the hood? Ive already checked all of the regular fuses both in the kick panel and the box next to the battery. Any help would be great!!!

No... But I was reading and figured its one of 2 or 3 problems (just guessing)... I dont know which one (obviously). One- ACC fuse Two- Alternator fuse Three- The plastic/rubber around the barrtery wire coming off the alternator chipped off a bit as i was bolting the wire back down. I checked and nothing is touching anything thats part of the alternator but who knows. Still up for other ideas or anything to add to mine.... thanks guys.

(Oh yea, I just got a brand new battery for the car so another ? is, if it is the alternator fuse is it still recharging the battery? I really dont want to drive it and have to pay for a tow...)

Just to add real quick, there are 3 or 4 fast clicks when you turn the key to acc position. The only thing that comes on is the clock light but no clock. Seems like when i hit the brake while driving the radio cuts for a sec (but it does for no reason too).

you didn't unhook the battery when you changed your alternator? that was dangerous :P

you probably blew a fuse somewhere or of the fuse didn't blow, you may have burned a wire and is causing a bad connection (causing the intermittent behavior of your acc stuff). you're probably just gonna have to trace your acc wires man, as much as that sucks.

Well it's over... I hope. It was the alternator relay in the fuse box next to the battery. They don't sell them at any local parts store so i used a T style 80 amp fuse bent it and plugged it into the open top of the exsisting fuse. A little ghetto but works perfectly. Atleast till i can get one from the bone yard. Hope this helps anyone that has this problem in the future.
